Atoco Wins 2025 Reuters Sustainability  Award in Product Innovation

Author: Atoco

Atoco is pleased to share that we’ve been named the winner of the 2025 Reuters Sustainability Award in Product Innovation. It’s an honor that reflects what we care about most: building transformative, scalable solutions that tackle both the causes and effects of climate change.

This recognition arrives at a pivotal moment for Atoco as we are preparing the grounds for the field-tests of our industrial atmospheric water harvester prototypes in the months ahead. We are translating decades of pioneering research from our founder, Nobel laureate Prof. Omar Yaghi, into transformative technologies. Under his guidance we are leveraging nano-engineered reticular materials to generate water out of thin air at scale, even in the driest and most remote regions of the world.

“This recognition affirms our approach: leveraging reticular chemistry to engineer materials designed with atomic precision to harvest water out of air where conventional infrastructure is limited. Building on Prof. Omar Yaghi’s breakthrough science, which earned him the Nobel Prize a couple of weeks ago, Atoco is turning decades of research into practical solutions that enable water independence, even in the most challenging environments.”, Dr. Samer Taha, CEO of Atoco
