About the company – Atoco, Inc. is a startup company founded by the distinguished scientist Prof. Omar Yaghi, the inventor of MOF and COF chemistry, for which he was awarded the Nobel Prize in 2025. This position will focus on the design and analysis of the integration of various reticular materials to study and optimize their overall performance in adsorbing/desorbing water and CO2.

• Work in a fast-paced environment to analyze and optimize different multi-variable thermofluidic adsorption/desorption modules.
• Analyze and optimize fluid flow and heat-transfer properties of different reticular material systems to achieve optimum system performance using statistical analysis and modeling software.
• Evaluate coatings and structured material stability to various process conditions and at different working conditions.
• Data collection and data analysis of test setups and prototypes.
• Parametric study of effective variables in the modules using available numerical packages.
• Investigate and determine critical parameters to be addressed for commercialization.
• Work closely with other R&D scientists and engineers to analyze data.
• Maintain an electronic notebook detailing all data measured, observations, and steps performed.
• Present and report research results in projects, program reviews and technical committees.
• Contribute to the intellectual property of the company by writing and participating in invention disclosures and/or peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
• Perform periodic reporting to management and participate in periodic joint brainstorming and technical meetings.
• Participate in collaborative joint research activities with research teams at partner universities.

• PhD with strong background in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or other
  related background from an accredited institution, along with a demonstrated record of achievement in industry and research
• Prior experience using simulation tools and data analysis software.
• Strong research background, including peer-reviewed publications.
• Minimum of 3 years of research/industry experience post academic studies is a plus.
