From Molecules to Systems
Starting from novel reticular materials that are designed with atomic precision and possess new properties, unseen before, Atoco’s technology follows a bottom-up approach to build modules, components and systems that are integrated, synchronized and optimized with the properties and behavior of the reticular materials at the molecular level.

Reticular Materials
Reticular materials are highly ordered, porous structures formed by linking molecular building blocks with strong bonds. Their customizable frameworks and high porosity enable precise control over physical, chemical, and mechanical properties. With internal surface areas often comparable to several football fields per gram, reticular materials excel in adsorption, separation, and energy storage. Their strong bonds provide stability, allowing them to endure extreme temperatures and harsh environments. This makes reticular materials like Metal–Organic Frameworks (MOFs) and Covalent Organic Frameworks (COFs) ideal for carbon capture and atmospheric water harvesting, solutions Atoco is advancing to address global environmental challenges.
Led by Atoco’s founder and the inventor of reticular chemistry, Prof. Omar Yaghi, Atoco’s scientists have developed a portfolio of MOFs and COFs that demonstrated unmatched carbon capture and atmospheric water harvesting performance.

Carbon Capture
Our solid-state carbon capture modules efficiently capture and remove CO2 directly from air and industrial emissions, providing companies in heavy-emitting and hard-to-decarbonize industries with a scalable and efficient solution, whereby they can safely store or utilize captured CO2.
Water Harvesting
Our water harvesting solutions efficiently capture and generate pure water out of the atmosphere, even under dry conditions with relative humidity below 20%. Our technology can operate in passive mode without the use of electricity, thereby enabling off-grid operations with zero carbon footprint.
